THE NORTH AVENUE COMMUNITY DEVELOPMENT CORPORATION IS A 501 (c) (3) exempt public charity and foundation with a focus on providing measurable food service delivery systems and workforce development initiatives to the residents of central west Baltimore City
About This Cause
Through various project partners we sponsor and administer food pantry programs and activities to service residents who reside in census tract recorded food deserts in central west Baltimore. We also collaborate with local workforce development initiatives that provide training along with the ways and means that lead to pathways towards permanent employment opportunities. Our pantry operations rely on solicited contributions to continue the set up of community food pantry locations as well as food pantry distribution centers. Our food service volunteers are trained in food handling protocol and procedures to enhance there qualifications to compete for employment in the food service sector of the Baltimore Metropolitan work force business environment.
