Mission Statement
Our mission is to help people overcome life's obstacles in order to experience greater freedom, joy and peace utilizing draft horses in a therapeutic farm setting.
About This Cause
Equine Assisted Learning (EAL) Incorporates horses experientially for emotional growth and learning. It is a collaborative effort between a Mental Health Professional, an Equine Professional and horses, working with participants to address learning/treatment goals. Experiences are structured to require participants to take initiative, make decisions and be accountable for results. Chosen experiences are supported by reflection, critical analysis and synthesis. Our programs are for anyone who wants to experience the self awareness, healing and joy that comes from having a meaningful interaction with a horse. Why Horses?? Horses are social animals with a defined hierarchy within the herd. Being prey animals, they are highly in tune to their environment and possess an extraordinary ability to accurately read the energy, feelings, behavior and silent intentions of the participant. They respond immediately, in real time giving the participant and team leaders valuable insight to affect positive change.
