Mission Statement
Kindred Spirits Therapy Minis (KSTM) is a Veteran owned and operated 501(c) (3) non-profit organization dedicated to improving the health and well being of children and adults who are living with physical or emotional impairment. Our goal is to provide an opportunity for emotional, social, and behavioral growth and learning, as well as other forms of rehabilitation, through work with horses. We also seek to educate our surrounding communities and professionals about the benefits of equine assisted therapies.
About This Cause
Kindred Spirits is a 501(c) 3 non-profit charity dedicated to bringing our trained/certified miniature horses to visit and interact with people of all ages who may be suffering mentally, physically or emotionally. Our unique programs are tailored to provide activities for individuals in need. Our target audience includes at-risk youth, children who are grieving the loss of a parent or sibling, veterans suffering from PTSD or other physical or emotional trauma, adults in addiction centers, victims of sexual assault, individuals in “end-of-life” transition, and our first responders. These activities/interactions are designed improve the ability to connect, stimulate tactile response, enhance motor skills, encourage use of the senses, and generally lift spirits through interactive therapy with miniature horses.
