Mission Statement
Best Chance helps formerly incarcerated men and women lead productive and rewarding lives while significantly reducing recidivism.
About This Cause
Best Chance is a clinically supervised, Peer-led Wellness Center. We are a nonprofit corporation in the State of New Mexico. Our Peer Mentors provide: material support (hygiene needs, new clothing, notebooks, backpacks, phones, etc.); case management; referrals to service providers; housing; employment guidance; and, training proven to reduce the stress of transitioning to “life on the outside.” At the same time Best Chance encourages beneficial thought patterns, coping mechanisms and life skills. Our services are provided by well-trained peers working closely with a broad spectrum of vocational, healthcare, mental health, social welfare, business, spiritual, educational and motivational volunteers and professionals. People come to us homeless; we help them establish safe and stable housing. Men and women come to us unemployed; we help them establish meaningful careers.
