Crush MS is dedicated to funding multiple sclerosis research while raising awareness of the disease.
About This Cause
In 2013 Crush MS began when two Napa Valley families decided to use their winery connections to raise funds for multiple sclerosis research and to work toward increasing awareness of the disease. Julie Hare of Counter Punch Wines and Kevin Reid of Reid Family Vineyards created a network of Napa Valley wineries forming the basis of Crush MS. Both Julie and Kevin live with MS. The annual Crush MS “Summer Celebration” raised over $135,000 in its first three years. Funds have been donated to the National MS Society, to research at Stanford University, and to helping those with MS live well now. Crush MS, in conjunction with the NMSS, sponsors support groups and hosts presentations by expert speakers. Crush MS is the only organized effort in the Napa Valley providing an opportunity for the community to participate in the elimination of multiple sclerosis.
