Mission Statement
Voices Beyond Assault is a women-led nonprofit organization with a global mission to empower the lives of survivors of sexual violence. We provide resources, advocacy, curriculum, innovative therapy, and safe spaces for programs that create survivorship and encourage healing. As an organization we continue to seek partnerships that will help change the face of survival.
About This Cause
Voices Beyond Assault, is a 501 (c) (3) not for profit organization dedicating to empowering the lives of survivors of sexual violence, amplifying survivors voices and providing innovative therapy methods to thrive after sexual violence. VSexual assaults have no boundaries in terms of race, nationality nor sex. The need is critical, and our mission to be of assistance is global. We seek to be advocates, healers and mentors for our survivors — from those who have been victims of sexual harassment to violent brutal rape. If there is no known outlet, we will do our best to create one. Access to information, support and therapeutic activities can positively change lives. Every survivor deserves the chance to determine their own future and define who and what they are. We give survivors the the chance to recover from their emotional and/or physical trauma. When sexual assault strikes, we are readily available to assist in any way we can. Our founder, Brianna Michelle Redman, has pursued the resources for our mission to extend through and beyond the United States. Her passion and boundless energy has inspired a movement that has become bigger than her initial vision. After her brutal sexual assault in college, she was very surprised by the lack of resources available for something that is a worldwide epidemic. Striving to gain back normalcy to her life she began dreaming, planning and becoming a resource for what she wished was accessible when she was dealing with the post traumatic effects of assault. Thus, Voices Beyond Assault was born. She began creating innovative ways of therapy that include but are not limited to survival retreats, writing and reading groups, team building, exercise, group therapy counsel, and global pen pals. We are excited about what the future holds for the men, women and children who will be directly affected by what Voices Beyond Assault will provide. Empowering survivors to thrive past their trauma is essential for us.
