Mission Statement
The Liberty & Legacy Foundation is dedicated to empowering youth and fostering community development through Equitable culturally responsive educational resources, coupled with mentorship programs, and various community initiatives that will help Everyone Rise Above in our community to defeat intergenerational cycles of dysfunction and poverty to safely and peacefully create a liberated legacy. Our mission is to provide opportunities for personal and professional growth, promote social justice, and create a supportive environment for underserved communities.
About This Cause
Mistah FAB, born Stanley Cox, founded the Liberty & Legacy Foundation to honor the legacy of his children and to create a lasting impact on his community. Having faced numerous challenges growing up in North Oakland, including the loss of his father to AIDS and his mother to cancer, and his only brother's long-term incarceration. These experiences shaped his resolve to give back to his community. Mistah FAB understands the importance of support, education, and mentorship. His own journey through adversity and success in the music industry inspired him to give back and provide the resources and support that were missing much of his life. The Liberty & Legacy Foundation, named after his children, Liberty and Legacy, was established to address the lack of support and opportunities he faced in his youth. Through this foundation, Mistah FAB aims to provide the guidance, resources, and encouragement necessary for young people to thrive and succeed, breaking the cycle of adversity, symbolizing his commitment to building a brighter future for the next generation.
