With the mission to inspire the next generation of STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering & Math) and aviation professionals, Dreams Soar is a nonprofit organization dedicated to supporting our next generation, through continued STEM outreach and scholarships.
About This Cause
Dreams Soar, Inc., is a 501c3 non-profit organization founded by Shaesta Waiz, a dual graduate of Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University, whose mission is to inspire the next generation of STEM and aviation professionals. Shaesta was born in an Afghan refugee camp and flew a "Global Flight for STEM" in 2017 to inspire young girls and boys to work hard, never give up and follow their dreams. She became the youngest woman to fly solo around the world in a single-engine aircraft, visiting 22 countries in 5 continents, holding 32 Outreach events during which she personally inspired over 3,000 young girls and boys with her amazing story and journey. The global flight was the first phase of Dreams Soar’s worldwide effect to inspire and empower young girls and boys to follow their dreams. Their scholarship program will help empower those that are inspired by Shaesta, providing them opportunities they might not otherwise have to follow their own dreams.
