Mission Statement
Addis Jemari creates lasting solutions and foster transformation in the lives of orphaned and vulnerable children in Ethiopia, thus breaking the cycle of generational poverty.
About This Cause
Addis Jemari fights to end the orphan crisis in Ethiopia by encouraging, educating and empowering orphaned and vulnerable children and their families. Our five core values are: education, discipleship, financial literacy, life skills, and community involvement. These values will help transform the lives of children and families we serve. We have two programs: Our AJ Home is a safe environment for once-orphaned and vulnerable teenage girls. Our wonderful staff have created a loving family that cares not only for the physical needs of our girls, but also their spiritual and emotional needs as well. Our Family Empowerment Program is a family sponsorship program that allows willing families to generously help families in critical need on a monthly basis. Addis Jemari works directly with these families to give them creative solutions and community connections as well as fulfills their basic needs thus keeping families together.
