About This Cause
The mission of the JP4 Foundation is to enrich the lives of youth in underserved communities through healthy activity, healthy meals and healthy relationships. The JP4 Foundation is evolving to meet the holistic needs of more underserved youth. This approach to wellbeing instills the skills that lead to lifelong healthy habits. Our programs include summer-long camps, an after-school program called The Diamond Club, and each year we award the Johnny Price IV Scholarship. The Diamond Club Our after-school program empowers youth to thrive by focusing on four foundational elements that instill the skills that lead to lifelong healthy habits. The program provides: building blocks for social skills, access to healthy food and nutrition-focused education, support for strong academics, and tools for overall personal wellness. We know children raised in challenging circumstances often struggle to reach their full potential. We recognize the pandemic has been especially difficult for many families, disrupting many programs designed to support kids most in need. In response, the JP4 Foundation created the Diamond Club designed to establish an educational and developmental environment where underserved youth can safely experience and grow interpersonal relationship skills, focus on their health, wellness, and build their nutritional knowledge. All of our programming is based around NOISE+. This is our holistic approach to building up youth and empowering them with tools that will help them reach their full potential. Summer-Long Camps Our summer-long camps provide a healthy physical outlet for children ages 8-14. Our camps bring together youth from across the Twin Cities and provide a healthy outlet outside the structure of the school year. Once each week for 10 weeks, kids gather outside to play baseball, sit down for a nutritious lunch, and spend small-group and one-on-one time with their coach. Our camps take a holistic approach to wellbeing to instill the skills that lead to lifelong healthy habits.
