Mission Statement
Purpose statement – The Retreat Center of Maryland is dedicated to sharing practices that nourish and refresh body, mind and spirit. Guiding Principle 1: To support and empower people with healing practices and transformative experiences such as yoga, meditation, mindful movement, and breathwork. Guiding Principle 2: To foster diverse, inclusive, and compassionate communities by working in partnership with individuals and groups often marginalized by the yoga and wellness industries. Guiding Principle 3: To live in harmony with ourselves, our communities, and the natural world.
About This Cause
We are a small but growing non-profit in Maryland. We offer educational programs in health and wellness for the general public, and especially to those who traditionally lack access to programs like ours which are designed to nourish bodies, minds and spirits by focusing on yoga, meditation, and other wellness practices. The vision of Retreat Center of Maryland is to support a balanced, compassionate, and connected community in alignment with yogic principles and serving the world.
