Mission Statement
The mission of Futprints is to provide disadvantaged children in rural Ethiopia with sustainable access to basic education, and the resources required to reach their full potential.
About This Cause
Futprints: Reconnecting and Empowering the African Diaspora Futprints was founded on the belief that everyone can leave a positive and unique impact wherever they go, just like an actual footprint. Our vision is to inspire individuals within the African diaspora to reconnect with their roots and make a lasting difference in their communities. Our goals and initiatives include: * Cultural Reconnection: Fostering a deep understanding and appreciation of African culture and history. * Educational Empowerment: Providing educational resources and opportunities for personal and professional development. * Community Support: Uplifting and empowering African communities worldwide through community projects. * Positive Impact: Encouraging individuals to leave lasting, positive "futprints" in their communities through volunteerism and advocacy. Starting with our first project in Bahir Dar, Ethiopia, we are currently working with 40 students at the Bahir Dar Tutoring Center, providing after-school tutoring and summer courses. Our current goal is to raise funds to build and staff a permanent tutoring center in Bahir Dar, ensuring long-term support and educational resources for the community.
