Mission Statement
SoundBio Lab welcomes everyone to explore and grow their passion for science. We provide space, tools and community to foster original research projects alongside hands-on STEAM education in our biomakerspace and the greater Seattle area.
About This Cause
SoundBio Lab is creating a space for anyone to create, dream and explore with science. We organize projects, workshops, community-based research and science events embracing hands-on learning.. These activities span from learning basic microscope use to practicing molecular biology techniques such as DNA isolation, PCR, and restriction enzyme digests. Additionally, we apply bioinformatics analyses to publicly available genotyping data to advance our understanding of population structure (learn more here!). Each person and their ideas at SoundBio is treated equally and with respect to encourage inclusiveness and enthusiasm for science.
