Mission Statement
Our mission is twofold: to provide children from low-income backgrounds with access to quality education and to support our youth volunteers in leading innovative service projects that uplift their communities.
About This Cause
Seven United (SUN) has made a significant impact on hundreds of young people in Rwanda. Over the past 12 years, SUN went from being a students' club in one high school to opening up chapters across multiple high school and university campuses in Rwanda. The organization grew from 7 members in 2008 to more than 900 current active members committed to making a social impact and improving the lives of those in need. With so much love and enthusiasm, the youth of SUN have helped put street kids in school and reached out to fellow students by providing school materials, school fees, and lunch for those who could not afford it. In addition to the tremendous work accomplished within schools, SUN has reached impoverished individuals in the community in tangible ways, by building and repairing houses for widows, visiting the sick in different hospitals, providing health insurance to community members unable to afford it, and planting vegetable gardens to supply healthy food to those who need it. The work goes on. Be part of it.
