Mission Statement
Crazy Cats Animal Rescue seeks to provide proper nutrition, medical care, and attentive foster families to both cats and dogs in need until they can be placed in forever homes that are the right fit for them. We are involved directly with the animals in our stretch of community (from Cincinnati, OH to Florence, KY): trapping, catching, and rescuing most of them ourselves, and often picking them up from other locations when they are too full and on the brink of euthanasia. Powered by dedicated volunteers, we aim to rescue any and all cats, kittens, dogs, and puppies that we come across in need of our help, especially those that are deemed by some to be “not worth the effort.” Some of our notable alumni include cats like Miracle, who was hit by a car and left alongside the road with countless injuries, a pair of kittens with eyes so infected we feared they would lose them, and a momma cat that required an extensive surgery to remove part of her intestine, all of whom are now happy and healthy. Where other people see lost causes, we see hope. Any amount of funding we receive goes directly to the animals, paying for vet bills and supplies not only to help our own, but to help low-income individuals whenever we can. There is no such thing as a pet that is too much work for Crazy Cats, as every animal we take in will be placed in the best environment for their needs. Even though we want as many animals to find forever homes as possible, our work doesn’t end with adoptable animals. We are also very active in trap-neuter-release for feral colonies and education about the importance of spaying and neutering animals. Our mission is always to go above and beyond for the welfare of the pets and pet owners in our community. Although we are small and fairly new registered 501c3 we have been rescuing for years and we have already made a big impact on the areas we serve with 40 feral cats receiving TNR services from us, 165 animals being placed into loving homes since January of 2017, and the continued search for forever placement of our 48 (and counting!) that are currently in foster homes.
About This Cause
We are an all foster based cat rescue, all of our cats are fostered in our volunteer’s homes, and we do not have a physical location. We are very active in TNR (Trap-Neuter-Return). We personally go out and trap friendly and feral cats and their kittens, when the cats are Feral they are spayed/neutered, vaccinated and returned to their colony and when they are friendly we evaluate, fully vet, and foster them until they are adopted. When the funding is available we also supply food to low income individuals who care for feral colonies.
