Our Parent Teacher Organization is for everyone. We facilitate community building, fundraising, teacher support, and educational opportunities for our children.
About This Cause
We are the Chief Joseph PTO, located in Portland, Oregon. Our organization exists for the purpose of supporting the education of the students at Portland Public School's Chief Joseph Elementary School by fostering relationships among the parents, teachers, principal, staff, and community through shared values of inclusion, community, and equity. This is done through community building, volunteering, holding events and meetings, supporting educational and enrichment programs, and fundraising to meet those needs. During the 2016-17 school year we funded grade level grants for STEAM related field trips and enrichment, Garden School through Grow Portland, our library, community events such as our FUN Harvest Fest, supplies for our school counselor, teacher and staff appreciation events, and other needs around the school!
