Mission Statement
Through advocacy, education, and the provision of free and low-cost legal services, Elder Law and Disability Rights Center strives to ensure dignity and justice for members of our communities who are elderly, living with disabilities, or experiencing homelessness.
About This Cause
ELDR Center provides low income seniors and those with disabilities with help with elder law and disability rights issues. In addition to our reduced fee legal services for those who are unable to obtain help for free and cannot afford private attorneys, we serve vulnerable communities. The ELDR Center works hard to ensure that unsheltered individuals are not criminalized simply for having no alternative to sleeping outside. We have successfully pushed cities to stop seizing and destroying property from homeless communities, to spend mental health services funding that was already allocated, to open shelters, and to stop ticketing and arresting this at risk community.
