Mission Statement
Our mission as a church is to equip people to have a personal relationship with Christ through, his word, praise, prayer, and love, together with others. That’s the Gospel, and we believe it converts us to Christ, to Church, and the Great Commission. It’s why we’re here, to be the church to one another and our community by receptively engaging peoples and cultures. To fulfill the Great Commission by engaging people to experience a real and life-changing relationship with Jesus through his salvation, healing and deliverance power. (Luke 4:18, Isaiah 61:1)
About This Cause
This became very evident when the Lord showed our Pastor, Pastor Philip Mambo in a vision of how in a specific neighborhood, there was a mega-church. This megachurch was equipped with all types of sophisticated you can ever imagine. But as Pastor Philip walked towards the main entrance of the building, there were people from all works of life who did not know Jesus Christ, yet the message preached to the church could not get to them. The Lord told Pastor Philip this is happening in the church today and that we must reach those outside the church's four walls with the Good News. We minister to all we meet, especially those unsaved, unchurched, and homeless. We are blessed to be able to serve in the mission field in our community, nationally and internationally, with our prayers and through our work in the missionary society projects, benevolence ministry, project love ministry, and meals programs. We want to restore hope and provide opportunities for people to become all that God intends them to be; partner with the local church to put Christian faith into action through service to the community. The war that Cameroon's government declared on armed separatists fighting for the independence of the English-speaking regions from the bilingual English/Francophone country is leaving many casualties among both the military and the insurgents. Hundreds have died in the fighting that is now in its sixth month — and hundreds more are missing. Read More Here Around 160,000 people have been displaced in the crisis-hit North-West and South-West Anglophone regions that have been gripped by clashes and insecurity since late 2016. The majority of the displaced have fled into the bush with little to survive on. Others are hosted by local communities who are also grappling with adverse living conditions. The conflict has also forced around 20,000 civilians to seek refuge across the border in neighboring Nigeria. Aid organizations in Cameroon are planning to roll out emergency food, health, protection, shelter, and education assistance as well as provide basic household items. Read More Here. Through this Dorcas Initiative for Cameroon, our church is running a food drive for refugees in Cameroon that the ongoing crisis in the country has displaced. We are reaching out to friends' colleagues, and family to help raise funds for the purchase of 100 bags of rice to assist these displaced women and children. A bag of 50kg/110 lbs. of rice is $40. A donation of any amount will be greatly appreciated, and we know it will go far to feed those in dire need of
