Mission Statement
The EveryLibrary Institute is dedicated to building-up and supporting the entire library funding ecosystem. From our programmatic priorities, research agenda, and professional trainings to our crowdfunding platform and fiscal sponsorships of great library ideas, we are focused on the future success and growth of public and school libraries in the United States and abroad.
About This Cause
Donors to the EveryLibrary Institute enable us to make targeted, capacity-building choices that help small ideas grow into smart solutions for libraries. The EveryLibrary Institute is a library think tank and action network that is focused on improving and supporting the future of library funding in the United States and abroad. Our primary work is to create effective programs, original research, and relevant trainings that enable public libraries to serve their diverse communities and school libraries to bring new equity to education. We actively engage the American public about the role and impact of librarians through outreach and education. Our publishing program provides a channel for new and emerging voices to talk about libraries and public policy. We are committed to supporting innovation in libraries by providing fiscal sponsorship to smaller non-profits and project managers that align with our values. Among these fiscal sponsorships are projects like the Awesome Libraries project that channels seed-money to library projects internationally and our FundLibraries.org crowdfunding platform which creates connections between individual donors and library campaigns. Alongside our international library organizational partners, we help create greater awareness of libraries and the use of library services overseas.
