Internationally, we endeavor to promote women health, improve the housing standards of low- income individuals and to provide access to clean safe water in rural Africa. Company mission statement Promoting a Healthier Africa is a private, nonprofit, community - based organization (NGO) with a 501(c) (3) tax exempt status .Our mission is to promote health nationally and internationally. Internationally, we endeavor to promote women health, improve the housing standards of low- income individuals and to provide access to clean safe water in rural Africa. Company philosophy and vision Our values define our philosophy of promoting health. They shape our actions, motivate and inspire us to pursue excellence and achieve the goals we have set forth for the future. Strong relationships allow us to accomplish much more than we would be able to otherwise. Without honesty and integrity, our company could not truly succeed. A key ingredient in strong relationships is to develop emotional connections. It’s important to always act with integrity in your relationships, to be compassionate, friendly, and loyal; to make sure that you do the right thing and treat your relationships well. Vision The vision of Promoting a Healthier Africa is to have communities with decent housing, access to clean water, improved women health and good hygienic conditions in rural Africa. Besides, our vision entails becoming a role model in promoting health in rural areas. 3. Organization goals Our main goal is to engage in extensive fundraising campaign. We are planning to reach out to the Foundation center in person and the online version to access major foundations that are funding our causes. Additionally, we plan to seek corporate and individual contributions. Once we get donors we have aim at securing lifetime donors to our programs. Also, we have to acquire necessary property, plants and equipment, to fulfill projects requirements. We need to purchase an organization van to cut down on the transportation costs we incur by hiring vehicles from private owners. We need to purchase necessary machinery for the running of our programs. We want also to subcontract with an outside operation team to carry out the water project and with an interlocking bricks making and building trainers. At the moment we have implemented the Dignity of Our Girls and Postpartum Mothers Matters program. Our next goal is to implement the “Potable Water for All in the third year then a Decent Housing is Health programs in the fourth or fifth year. 4. Target market Our target market is Low- income individuals in rural Africa, school girls, postpartum mothers (labor and delivery wards), people with poor housing, and communities without access to potable water, and individuals with no water tap on their properties. 5. Industry What makes our industry and business competitive is the uniqueness of the programs we are implementing and the high technology involved in the nature of the tools we use. Also, our services are charity and community-based that revolves around necessities of life. There hasn’t been any organization which offers services hundred percent for free in the manner we do. This industry is growing. The industry outlook is projected to grow 70% compared to other sectors in rural Africa. The Dignity of Our Girls and the Health of Postpartum Mother Matters is the first program we are embarking at the moment. The second program to be implemented is the water project. Lastly, we will implement the Decent Housing is Health Program. All programs will be replicated in different communities we serve and on an ongoing basis throughout the year. Our business will take advantage of projected industry changes and trends by reaching out to as many communities as possible who are in need of our services. Our competitors will have to stop charging fees for services, others will loss business while we reap all the competitive advantage and becoming a brand name in the industry. 6. Legal structure Our business is nonprofit organization with 501(c) (3) tax exempt status. We chose this particular form of business because we wanted to promote health of low-income individuals on the continent of Africa primarily. Our organization has a five Board of Directors; the Board Chairman, Assistant Chair, Board Treasurer, Secretary and the Committee Chair. Additionally, the organization has staff members below: Executive Director The executive director is responsible for directing the organization to ensure its long-term success and covering the day to day functions so that it remains in health operations. Registered Nurse The registered nurse is our organization’s international programs overseer. Engineer The engineer is responsible for all architecture work and housing construction. Supervisor The is responsible for water and housing operations Local village council leader The is responsible for government policies and legal issues Our company’s products and/or services: Our company delivers services mainly in rural Africa. We work closely with the Village Health Team (VHT), local government and the villagers. We promote women health, provide access to clean drinking water and improve the housing standards of low-income-individuals in rural Africa. Much of our work is community-based work at community level I, II and level III. We subcontract with outside team to operate the water projects. In terms of decent housing we subcontract with building trainers to train our volunteers how to carry out interlocking bricks and housing construction processes. When it comes to sanitary napkins we buy locally from wholesalers. Our services are charitable; we do not charge. However, we seek for donations and contributions as a source of our funding in order to deliver free services. Our services fit into the competitive landscape in terms of pricing very well. We do not charge for service. We have no pricing strategy help you attract customers because we are nonprofit. Also, we do not have a projected profit margin. That is why we reach out to different donors to support our programs and projects.
