About This Cause
Eggleston is a not-for-profit 501(c)3 organization that has been dedicated to the education, training and employment of individuals with disabilities for nearly 70 years. Our goal is to assist people in obtaining meaningful work opportunities, and to help them participate fully in their communities. Eggleston's mission is to empower adults with disabilities by providing them on-the-job training and stable work opportunities, along with residential and community support to live their most independent life possible. When Eggleston Services opened in 1955 as the Tidewater Vocational Center, we served only five individuals with disabilities. Today, we serve over 1,000 people, and our services continue to expand every year.
