About This Cause
To achieve our mission, we provide a 6-month immersive bootcamp in technical skills (front-end development or UX-design) and life skills for women, place our graduates in quality tech jobs, and foster a strong community of alumnae who support each other’s growth as future leaders of the tech sector. Since our launch in Lima, Peru in 2014, Laboratoria has scaled to open training operations in four more countries: Chile, Mexico, Brazil and Colombia. Our goal is for our graduates to start a career in technology and in this way significantly increase their income and therefore build a better future for themselves, their families and their communities. We have trained over 2,150 women and since 2018, placed +83% of them in tech jobs in Latin America and abroad, increasing their salaries by 2.7 times. We are talent providers for over 800 leading companies, helping them find the technical talent they need while bringing the diversity that helps build better products to their companies. This work contributes to our vision of shaping a more diverse, inclusive and competitive digital economy that opens opportunities for every woman to develop her potential and in this way, transform Latin America’s future.
