Mission Statement
The Dallas Innovation Alliance (DIA) is a 501c3 cross-sector partnership founded to support the design and execution of the City of Dallas' smart cities strategy. We define a smart city as one that lives at the intersection of data, technology and community to improve quality of life, resource efficiencies, and inclusive economic development. Through collaboration, we develop innovative solutions to pressing challenges for the benefit of the city and its residents that create a more resilient and sustainable future for the city. The Connected Dallas program’s mission is to connect all residents to opportunity through digital connection, internet access and skills.
About This Cause
The Dallas Innovation Alliance (DIA) is a coalition of stakeholders from the City of Dallas, corporations, Civic and NGO organizations, academia and private individuals who are invested in Dallas’ continued evolution as a forward‐thinking, innovative, ‘smart’ global city. Our working definition of a Smart City is a city at the intersection of community, data and technology to improve quality of life, facilitate economic growth and access to opportunity, and improve resource efficiencies. Operating from a foundational vision that smart cities are about people and not just technology, DIA is focused on the end user – building a critical mass of the most highly-engaged citizens in the country.
