The Young, Black & Giving Back Institute (YBGB) serves Black-led, Black-benefitting nonprofits and its leaders with a mission to provide capacity building, convenings, and funding that uniquely meets their social impact needs.
About This Cause
Give 8/28 #Give828 is the ONLY day of concentrated giving for Black grassroots nonprofits, leveraging online fundraising tools in order to tap into the enthusiasm of the 21st Century philanthropist. The annual day recognizes and uplifts Black grassroots nonprofits who are fighting for Black people every day. Since 2018, we have had more than 1,000 nonprofits take part and raise more than $500,000! YBGB Institute Vision Our vision is for a generation of Black Gen-Xers and Millennials to effectively sustain innovative solutions to their communities' most pressing issues through philanthropic giving. What We Do @ YBGB Institute We convene the nation’s most impactful young, Black professionals and equip them with tools and resources for effective giving. Our signature Give 828 Day and Changing The Face of Philanthropy Summit prepare lack Gen-Xers and Millennials to act as leading voices for change through service, philanthropy, and advocacy.
