About This Cause
Founded in 1988, IVAL collaborates with the Idaho Division of Veterans Services and the Idaho State Veterans Homes Administration to meet the needs of our Veterans that are not covered by the state budget. Through the generosity of private individuals, local businesses, and nonprofit organizations, we ensure that Idaho’s Veterans receive essential supplies, services, and opportunities to enrich their lives. Conservatively, 98% of all donations received support programs at our Idaho Veteran Homes. Not a penny goes to executive salaries, admin training, advertising, etc. IVAL ensures that our Veterans have access to additional support that enhances their dignity, security, and well-being. The impact of donations on our residents includes: Basic Necessities – Providing clothing, hygiene items, and personal care products to indigent Veterans arriving with limited belongings. Personal Services – Funding haircuts for residents who cannot afford them. Medical Equipment & Comfort Items: We supply electric razors, diabetic shoes, wheelchair gloves, and other necessities. Recreational & Social Activities—We organize community outings, cultural events, and activities that keep our Veterans engaged and connected. Mobility & Accessibility Needs – Addressing transportation challenges, including a wheelchair-accessible bus to accommodate residents with electric and bariatric wheelchairs.
