Mission Statement
Giraffe Laugh provides Early Childhood Education and nurturing to 200 Treasure Valley children daily by ensuring school readiness, empowering families and building strong futures.
About This Cause
Giraffe Laugh ensures school readiness, empowers families and builds strong futures everyday. We believe in educational justice for all children. With four programs designed to serve children from birth to 5 and one for children K-6th grade during the summertime, our aim is to prepare children for a bright future especially those who would not otherwise have access to quality, affordable childcare and preschool. STEM is a focus along with social/emotional health and nutrition. Food panty's at each site, three meals a day, holiday assistance with meals and gifts, sponsoring extra curricular activities for all children contribute to a supportive environment. Paired with a solid education, 98% of our children leave our program eager and prepared for kindergarten, a precursor of success in future life. We use the Strengthening Families model that helps provide supports to parents where needed to prevent adverse childhood experiences. As a research based model it is known to reduce child abuse and to lead to healthier stronger families. We care for the family when they are young too and this strengthens everyone's outcomes. We build strong futures through our programs and strong futures means a solid workforce and brighter things for our entire community.
