About This Cause
Northwest Real Estate Capital Corp. (NWRECC) is an Idaho 501(c)(3) nonprofit specializing in preserving affordable housing and enabling life with dignity for our residents by providing safe, stable housing and onsite social services. We professionally manage and serve over 5,000 affordable households in rural and metropolitan areas throughout eight states, stretching from Alaska to Arizona. The heart of our organization is our Resident Services Department doing business as (DBA), NWRECC Stepping Stones, which center around strengthening people and families. We have twelve Resident Service Coordinators (RSCs) who promote life improvement education and link supportive services and community resources to the residents of our communities. RSCs specialize in developing and accomplishing programmatic service delivery to help older adults and those with disabilities to be able to live safely and independently. We evaluate an individual's unique needs and create a plan, then strive to reach our participating residents' goals to fulfill our overall mission. Our programs include onsite vaccine clinics, transportation, navigating federal social programs, Medicare and Medicaid assistance, residential community gardens, various community activities, and an overall support system. Our programmatic services rely on grant funds and donations to keep our onsite programs viable. Several of our family properties have onsite computer labs for onsite access for telehealth appointments, virtual family visits, applying for rental relief assistance, socialization, and other life-enhancing resources such as companion pet adoption. Most importantly, as resident service providers, we are the advocates who build trust within our community.
