Mission Promise: Rooted in the Gospel, Catholic Charities of Idaho shares God’s love with all in need by providing services and programs that support human well-being. Catholic Charities of Idaho offers a variety of social services that improve lives, promote dignity, and build individual and family self-sufficiency. Founded in 2000, we prioritize service to those most in need, promote healthy family life, stable relationships, and social inclusion, offer culturally competent services to newcomer communities, and foster safety, trust, collaboration, and empowerment as the key guiding principles of our work with clients. Catholic Charities is a faith based social service organization founded on the social teachings of the Roman Catholic Church. We offer high quality family and individual counseling services, immigration legal services, case and crisis management services, refugee resettlement services, and resource linkage, referral and support services. We strive to ensure service integration and care coordination for all we assist. We seek partnership, collaboration, and association with those who share our values and mission of service.
About This Cause
Catholic Charities receives support from the generosity of donors, parishes, the annual Diocesan Catholic Appeal, the Idaho Catholic Foundation, grants, foundations and fund-raising efforts. We offer services to all people, regardless of religion, age, gender, disability, race/ethnicity, income or background. Services: Counseling Counseling services address emotional and behavioral difficulties that can negatively impact people’s lives. Counseling is available for adults and children in a variety of forms, including individual, family, couple and group sessions, all designed to help with life’s many difficulties. CCI can assist clients in making positive life changes. Our counselors use reputable theories and techniques to provide services tailored to fit individual client needs. Clients play an integral part in creating personal goals, and CCI counselors draw upon an individual’s strengths and capabilities to attain these goals. Case Management Case Management is a process built on your individual needs and goals. Service Coordinators utilize strength-based, client-centered strategies, to help you recognize your individual strengths, and support your access to services and key resources on your journey to wholeness and self-sufficiency. Immigration Legal CCI provides low cost immigration legal services and consultations to individuals eligible to receive immigration benefits. CCI's representatives are Department of Justice (DOJ) certified. CCI provides legal consultations and assistance regarding most immigration matters including citizenship, family petitions, applications for victims of certain qualifying crimes such as domestic violence and other applications. Refugee Resettlement Catholic Charities of Idaho, as part of its mission to support human well-being and in partnership with the Idaho Office for Refugees, is leading a community partnership program in Pocatello that will resettle a small number of Afghan refugees in this time of urgent need. Catholic Charities of Idaho is an affiliate of the U.S. Conference of Catholic Bishops, one of nine agencies nationwide that collaborates with the State Department to resettle refugees in the United States. CCI is working closely with eastern Idaho community groups, faith congregations, businesses, nonprofits and local leaders to respond to this call for help.
