Mission Statement
Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Dallas, Texas and New York. Our mission is to build a nationwide network of fosters, volunteers, rescue partners and adopters in an effort to save the lives of thousands of shelter dogs in need and unite them with loving forever families. As a foster-based rescue, we focus on providing all of our dogs with secure and loving foster homes while they wait for their forever families.
About This Cause
Hearts & Bones Rescue is a 501(c)(3) non-profit organization based in Texas and New York. We are composed of a network of fosters and volunteers who collaborate to rescue shelter dogs and find them loving, forever homes. We rescue dogs from overcrowded shelters throughout Texas, one of the states with the highest shelter euthanasia rates in the country. Once rescued, our dogs stay in foster homes or at our Rescue Ranch for a few weeks to decompress and get any necessary medical care. Every 2 weeks, we transport 30-40 dogs from Texas to our adoptions base in New York City, where they are welcomed by loving fosters who care for them until they find their forever homes! We are dedicated to rescuing dogs where the need is greatest, and uniting them with people who can give them the happy lives they deserve. Since 2017, we have saved the lives of over 3,000 dogs thanks to our dedicated community of fosters, volunteers, adopters and supporters.
