Mission Statement

To reduce generational poverty in our socially economic disadvantage youth ages 7 to 15 by linking literacy to educational equity. (TM)

About This Cause

Tomorrow's Purpose(tm) is an 501c3 organization that provides an evidence-base literacy camp for all children ages 7-16 years old. Our core reading and writing curriculum is a (Literacy by Design) method which offers creative writing skills to improve student reading comprehension levels. We believe students should remain literacy sufficient during their school year release time. Throughout our camps we guide students through personal achievement in OP-Ed writing, music literacy, book publishing, financial literacy, and business development. Our summer youth writing camp projects is provided throughout the city of Dallas which enhance literacy performance through creative writing, storytelling, and successful collaboration among their peers. We incorporated, SEL (Social Emotional Learning), and healthy eating,(we discovered that many of our youth classroom performance is hampered by hunger)in our 2019 Youth camp. Innovative sessions are provided to allow students the opportunity to create their own story that fosters literacy motivation. We target what is necessary according to need assessment conducted by the District Data Terms. Our instructional intervention is inter-mingled with games, activities, and enjoyable reading strategies to build student character and confidence in the classroom. Our goal is not only to strengthen the foundation of literacy, but to ensure that our youth reach their goals and make their dreams a reality in order for them to become a pertinent person in the community.
