Rethink Food USA Inc is a non-profit organization working to recover nutritious excess food to provide low or no-cost meals to New York City families in need.
About This Cause
RETHINK FOOD USA, Inc. (501c3) (“Rethink Food”) transforms unused food from grocery stores, restaurants, and farmers’ markets into ready-to-eat meals to be delivered to local charitable agencies in New York City. We aim to both serve the public and contribute to environmental conservation, while developing entrepreneurial and leadership skills for local NYC students/young adults interested in careers in the food industry. Rethink Food goes beyond meals by using food as a means to promote community-based solutions to food insecurity, engage in economic development for local populations, and advocate for better food security and environment policies at the local, state and federal levels.
