Through a thoughtful and ambitious approach to philanthropy, the foundation aims to deliver lasting solutions to complex problems, paving the way for sustainable change. With a focus on youth and education, veterans and military families, global health, and assistance at times of declared disaster the foundation will pursue new and innovative charitable initiatives aimed at improving the lives of individuals and communities. The Booz Allen Foundation is dedicated to empowering human potential and driving wider social impact. Building upon Booz Allen Hamilton’s strong legacy of passionate service, the Foundation was established in 2017 as a separate legal entity. The Foundation holds tax-exempt status under section 501(c)(3) IRS tax code. Initial funding for the Booz Allen Foundation was provided by Booz Allen. We value innovative ideas that deliver real and measurable impact for individuals, families, and communities. We believe in harnessing the power of data, technology, and intellectual capital to identify solutions to critical social challenges. We value the insights drawn from a cross-section of voices and perspectives, recognizing the need to collaborate and convene diverse stakeholders. Recent projects include launching the STEM Educators Open House in Northern, Virginia in February 2020. In addition, on April 30, 2020, the Booz Allen Foundation established a $1 million Innovation Fund to help nonprofits, entrepreneurs, thought leaders, innovators at colleges and universities, start-ups, and small businesses harness the power of data, technology, and diverse intellectual capital to improve COVID-19 relief efforts and make a difference.
