Mission Statement
Tekton Career Training exists to expand economic opportunities for refugees.
About This Cause
Tekton Career Training provides skills training for unemployed and underemployed refugees in order to help them begin jobs paying family-sustaining wages within their preferred industries. We aim to support refugees through their long-term career journeys as they overcome barriers to professional and economic mobility. Tekton powers Refcode, a program introducing refugees and immigrants to the world of coding and supporting them in those career journeys. Other programs include: construction training classes, business classes for entrepreneurs, and residencies & internships for refugees. In addition, we encourage skill development through our shared workshop and participation in our mentorship ecosystem. We estimate that every dollar invested in our training programs generates at least 3 dollars every year for a refugee family in our community.
