Mission Statement
We believe all dogs deserve the best possible home. We love them all as our own! Our commitment to all rescue dogs in our care is to provide a loving, caring environment with the necessary medical care they need so that when they transition to their forever family, they have all that they need to be an amazing family member.
About This Cause
The LovePup Foundation is a 501c(3) nonprofit organization that rescues dogs in need while also being a resource for the animal welfare community. With the help of his wife and three sons, founder and radio personality Johnjay Van Es has built a shelter which serves as a dog rescue center for stray, abandoned and owner surrendered dogs. Every rescued dog receives medical care, love and structure before being placed in an adoptive forever home. The foundation also provides resources to the community for shelter prevention. Since its inception around 2013, the foundation has rescued and adopted out over 700 dogs; assisted in preventing shelter intake by keeping dozens of dogs together with their families through their A Dog is Forever program; and provided funding for microchips for over 10,000 dogs adopted from the Maricopa County Animal Care & Control shelters through their It’s Hip to Chip program. LovePup operates out of Phoenix, Arizona but assists dogs and communities nationwide through its programs and events.
