Mission Statement
The mission of Be Fierce is to better the lives of children and their families who are battling rare diseases. We will do this through providing grants, resources and community support such as care packages during hospital stays.
About This Cause
The Be Fierce Foundation was created in 2017 by Mike and Katie Kyne to serve as an advocate for kids and their families that are fighting rare and undiagnosed diseases. This foundation was borne from the love of a family for their own warrior princess, Aubrey Kyne. Aubrey graced this earth for a short four years but in that time she had a huge impact on those that had the honor of being part of her life. Aubrey was medically fragile and had a lifetime of health challenges, but she was also a silly, vocal, and beautiful little girl that loved life. She taught us how to stare into the face of uncertainty and smile back. The Be Fierce Foundation is a way to honor her legacy and give back to a community that is experiencing emotional and physical challenges that most of us can only imagine. Together with their supporters, Be Fierce puts together hospital care packages for kids and their parents and raises money to support medically fragile families so they have the supplies and medical equipment they need to care for their children.
