Mission Statement
The Southington Robotics and Technology Education Association, Inc. promotes interest in science, engineering, and technology related careers throughout central Connecticut schools and the communities they serve; and to develop leadership, business, teamwork and communication skills. The primary focus is supporting programs designed for 18 years and younger children.

The Southington Robotics and Technology Education Association, Inc. promotes interest in science, engineering, and technology related careers throughout central Connecticut schools and the communities they serve; and to develop leadership, business, teamwork and communication skills. The primary focus is supporting programs designed for 18 years and younger children. The Organization is operational exclusively for educational purposes such as: a. Promoting student involvement in science, engineering, computer, robotics, and technology curriculums. b. Promoting student involvement in robotics based competitions such as, FIRST Robotics, Vex Robotics, etc. c. Providing a safe, structured environment for students to meet engineers, scientists, technologists, and advanced technology manufacturers. d. Providing technology education to students to improve their ability to enter the workforce upon graduation. e. Promote a diverse learning environment open to both boys and girls of any and all nationalities, religions and other groups. Some of the programs currently supported by The Southington Robotics and Technology Education Association include one FIRST Robotics Program Team 195 the CyberKnights, 4 VEX Robotics Programs and 4 FIRST Lego League programs in the town of Southington. These experiential learning programs we support involve professionals working alongside students and mentoring them through an annual team project building robots that compete in various competitions around the world.
