Mission Statement
The Sam Day Foundation advances research for childhood and young adult cancers and facilitates wellness-centered support and experiences so kids with cancer can survive and live well.
About This Cause
The Sam Day Foundation (SDF) raises funds through events, corporate giving, individual donors. SDF gives over 92% of it's program funds to research for childhood sarcoma and brain tumor cancers which are severely underfunded. This research is intended to move the science to clinical trials so kids have more access to less toxic and more effective treatments. SDF provides wellness boxes for kids with cancer when they are first diagnosed with a sarcoma or brain tumor. SDF has been created in memory of Sam, who died of Ewing Sarcoma in August 2016 at age 15 after a six year battle.
