Adapt’s organizational mission is to enable anyone with a disabling condition to live a more fulfilled and capable life. Through the programs offered at Adapt it is our goal to create a safe and empowering community focused on adapting beyond one’s current condition or limitations such that, anyone can realize the full potential of their life experience.
About This Cause
Adapt is more than a recovery center—it’s a place where hope is reignited, goals are reimagined, and lives are transformed. We are a nonprofit neurological recovery center dedicated to helping people reclaim their independence and rediscover their strength after life-altering diagnoses such as spinal cord injury, multiple sclerosis, ALS, and stroke. Every day, we work with individuals who have been told to expect less—less movement, less possibility, less life. But at Adapt, we believe in more. More potential. More progress. More purpose. Our team of expert Neurological Recovery Consultants delivers world-class, activity-based therapy that goes beyond traditional rehabilitation. We tailor every session to the person in front of us, blending science with compassion, and cutting-edge techniques with community support. We don’t just focus on physical recovery—we support the whole person. All of our programs are grounded in Adapt’s three core pillars: physical, mental, and emotional well-being. Through this integrated approach, we create personalized pathways to progress that are as unique as each individual we serve. Our offerings include movement therapy that rebuilds strength, coordination, and independence; integrative wellness services that address stress, mindset, and emotional health; aquatic therapy to reduce pain and enhance mobility in a supportive environment; neuromuscular electrical stimulation to reconnect pathways and restore function; and community events that bring people together, creating connection, confidence, and joy along the way. We celebrate first steps, first pushes, and first moments of independence all over again—whether it’s sitting up unaided, transferring into a surfboard, or dancing with a partner at a wedding. But access to recovery shouldn’t depend on the ability to pay. That’s why we’ve provided over $1 million in therapy services through scholarships, fundraising, and the generosity of donors. Our mission is to remove barriers and open doors—so that no one has to face neurological recovery alone or without the tools they need to succeed.
