Mission Statement
The Affinia Healthcare Foundation's mission is to address unmet healthcare needs in our community by supporting the strategic initiatives of our community health center, Affinia Healthcare. Affinia Healthcare's mission is to provide high quality health care and exceptional service, while promoting healthy lifestyles. Together, Affinia Healthcare and the Affinia Healthcare Foundation seek to reduce healthcare disparities and health gaps for the most vulnerable individuals in our community.
About This Cause
The Affinia Healthcare Foundation endeavors to secure the support needed to address unmet healthcare needs in the St. Louis region through the strategic initiatives of our community health center, Affinia Healthcare. Throughout its 115 year history, Affinia Healthcare has sought to fill the unmet healthcare needs of those who live in St. Louis and surrounding areas, provide exceptional care and alleviate healthcare disparities. Since April 2, 2020 Afifnia Healthcare has provided over 28,000 COVID-19 tests as well as providing over 9,000 COVID-19 vaccines since receiving the first supply in January 2021, making the tests and vaccines accessible for the vulnerable individuals and under-resourced communities we serve. We are here during the COVID-19 crisis, and every day, providing access to high quality health care services in communities that face some of the most barriers to resources in St. Louis City and County. Affinia Healthcare is a community health center organization that through an integrated health and support services model provides comprehensive primary and preventive care in: pediatrics, adult medicine, obstetrics and gynecology, dental, behavioral health for children, teens and adults, optometry, pharmacy, lab, x-ray, WIC (Women, Infants, and Children Food and Nutrition Services) and other support services. Services are provided across 12 health center locations as well as mobile health services for children and teens. Affinia Healthcare serves over 43,00 patients annually of whom 90% have incomes under 100% of the Federal Poverty Level and 99% at below 200% of the Federal Poverty Level.
