Mission Statement
To provide a temporary safe haven for all dogs: all breeds, big and small, puppies and adults, fluffy and bald, differently-abled -- we help them all. We aspire to bring people and dogs together. Together, we create a family.
About This Cause
Mispits and Friends Rescue was formed December 14, 2017. It is a non profit animal welfare organization and was officially established with the IRS as of February 12, 2018. All of the founders/board members have been involved in rescue for many years. With combined knowledge and experience these ladies put their heads together and decided they wanted to form their own - being as transparent as possible and doing EVERYTHING humanly possible for the "voiceless." Although, their heart(s) reside with "bully breeds" they wanted to make sure the public was aware they were/are an all breed rescue - Hence the name and logo that was created. The main focus is to pull from high kill/rural shelters where the live release rate is extremely low.
