About This Cause
I'll Tell You My Story is a two-week workshop that teaches teenaged refugee girls about writing their story, illustrating it with photos they've taken, and participating in the creation of a short film. Our goal is to show them that their voice is important, that they are not forgotten (despite their current difficulties), and that it is possible to imagine a self-sustaining career through the communicative arts. It is an ambitious two weeks that we believe has lasting effects, allowing many of the girls to reinterpret their futures and to remember what it is to hope.
