YES! Kindness Works' mission is to defeat poverty in rural India through education and support services.
About This Cause
YES! Kindness Works offers a free public school education to children in desperately poor areas of India. The children, many of them the first in their families to attend school, will eventually find or create good jobs with their high school and college degrees. They will uplift their families and communities. We believe in the phrase: "It takes a child to raise a village." The 1st through 10th grade YES! students are taught science, math, and social studies and to read and write in three languages. By working with the same team of dedicated staff in India for over 12 years we are able to stay informed and connected. We can clearly understand what is needed and efficiently respond. Together we can put education and opportunity within reach.
