Mission Statement
We collect gently used bikes from the public, help volunteers refurbish them, and give them away to kids who don't have any. It's that simple!
About This Cause
Free Bikes 4 Kidz Portland is an affiliate of FB4K. Founded in Minneapolis, MN, FB4K started in a garage, when founder Terry Esau saw a need. Some kids needed bikes, so he rallied his friends to collect some, fix them up, and give them away. Ten years later, the model has grown. Minnesota collected over 9,000 bikes in one day in 2017, and the organization has spread to seven other cities around the United States. Thanks for your help as we share the joy of bicycling with children in our community!
