GAH’s Mission Is to make remarkable differences to strengthen and impact the life of the most vulnerable. We contribute to a better life through the provision of shelter and protection, safe water, improved sanitation, primary health care, quality education, nutrition and livelihood opportunities.

About This Cause

Global Aid Hand (GAH) is a non-for-profit organization, founded by Mr. Ismael Hagana, a committed and experienced philanthropist with the synergy of highly qualified humanitarian and development cadres who have chosen to pursue a shared interest in humanitarianism. GAH was founded in Sudan in 2012 with offices in the war-torn regions such as Khartoum, Greater Darfur, Greater Kordofan, Blue Nile, White Nile, Gadaref, Kassala ...etc. Global Aid Hand registered itself in the US under the name Global Aid Hand INC since 2018 GAH objective is to bring radical transformation into the lives of the most vulnerable and to contribute to the positive impact to the people in need across its operational countries and the humanity at large. GAH is a protection and right-based mandated organization with its focus being on protecting and empowering vulnerable children and women in the conflict zones. In order to achieve these goals, the founders are fully committed to provide high quality, broad and transparent humanitarian and development services to the most in need people. As a non-for-profit Sudanese organization is dedicated to protects and cares for children and the most in need host communities, IDPs, returnees and refugees in and outside Sudan through the different thematic areas of protection (GBV, child protection, general protection, mine action (EORE, land release and victim assistance)), health and nutrition, shelter, FSL, WASH, education and peacebuilding as well as economic empowerment. The organization serves people regardless of their Color, Faith, Race, Ethnicity and Gender Differences recognizing the fundamental human rights, which is endowed by each human being, as we believe that all people are born to be free and equal in dignity as articulated in the Universal Declaration of Human Rights (article 1). Being a women and child-focused organization, we believe in the UN Convention on the Rights of the Child and other international treaties, policies, laws and standards that contributed to shaping our work and the organization mission and vision. GAH is accountable for the execution of its objective/s with excellence to ensure that funds are channeled to the most vulnerable beneficiaries in an accountable manner. The Organization’s commitment is to ensure that both volunteers and staff harmoniously implement and perform their responsibilities that generates and sustains trust of all partners. Moreover, GAH is accountable for all its actions and decisions primarily to the beneficiaries, whom the services are delivered to, and to its partners such as Donors, Sponsors, Funders and other stakeholders including the governments where the organization is active in particular in The United States of America, Emirates, Sudan, South Sudan and Yemen with the aim to reduce the vulnerability and poverty among the people we serve with special consideration in addressing the cross-cutting challenges. GAH applies an integrated approach across its interventions and actions including Gender-Based Violence (GBV) especially against women and children, HIV/AIDS related community challenges and stigmas, discrimination against women and children. Mine related accidents and deaths (awareness, information sharing, Non-Technical Surveillances, Victim’s Assistance, etc.), strengthening community participation and contribution to change. GAH as well is committed to address peace building and conflict mitigation measures across our programs aiming at bringing peace, stability and reconciliation amongst conflicting parties, tribes and ethnic groups. Community reintegration and capacity building is key to empower the served communities to reach their full potential by tackling the root causes for poverty, conflict and vulnerabilities and respectively women, young people and children are in the center of our work as we envision to guide them to develop their full potential in a peaceful environment where they become effective members in their societies. Global Aid Hand is biased to community-based approaches and structures to ensure the ownership and sustainability of provided services as well the implemented activities. Whenever there is a crisis GAH will be among the first responders through its community-based structures and locally available resources hence GAH acts promptly to bring emergency supplies to support affected communities so that they can start rebuilding their lives and livelihoods and improve their resilience to go back to normal faster and mitigate the impact of such crisis on women and children. GAH strives to make sure that services, humanitarian and development assistance are equally available for and accessible to all persons with disabilities and grantee the availability, affordability and access specialized services, including assistive devices
