About This Cause
Economic vitality and equity. Workforce development. Innovation and infrastructure. Civic quality. Time and again, data show that these are the critical challenges facing not only St. Petersburg but communities across the nation. Immeasurable resources are spent analyzing the trends and inputs that drive these issues. And the recommendations to address these challenges are remarkably similar: convene community conversations. Identify national best practices. Seek opportunities to collaborate. Yet too often these actions do not yield the solutions we need. We believe that it takes real work to create the conditions that ensure that all citizens can thrive. Here’s how the St. Petersburg Foundation connects the dots to help solve our community’s biggest problems: Access and apply the hands-on business acumen of an expert network of entrepreneurs and business leaders Form neutral collaborations to drive real solutions to our community’s issues, Implement measurable tactics and transparently report on results Deliver a level of operational impact that advances missions and enhances effectiveness. We work with, within, and between nonprofits and civic entities to tackle head-on the gaps between community needs and concrete solutions.
