About This Cause
WHO WE ARE Fraternity Without Borders US Corp is a 501 (c) (3) non-profit volunteer run organization. 98% of your donations go directly to our projects. For the past 15 years, FWB has been a beacon of support and empowerment in both Brazil and across the African continent. Our initiatives are expansive, centering on the establishment and maintenance of reception centers that cater to the immediate basic needs of communities, including provisions for food, clean water, shelter, and fundamental health and hygiene services. Once these foundational needs are met, we extend opportunities for free education and vocational training to entire families residing in some of the world's most impoverished regions. Currently, the social impact of FWB is profound: - We've provided nutrition, clean water, and housing to 37,000 beneficiaries spanning across 8 countries, ensuring access to 542,000 meals per month. - Education is a cornerstone of our efforts, with 1,280 children receiving schooling from elementary through high school levels, coupled with access to internet-based language courses and vocational training for all students. - Additionally, 16 youth have successfully transitioned to university, while 7 have graduated from college. - In African villages, we've drilled water wells to foster sustainable agriculture, combat waterborne diseases, and empower farmers to sustain themselves and their communities. We also provide land for cultivation and educate children on environmental preservation and agricultural practices. - We extend specialized support to refugee women who have lost their husbands to violence, offering them skills training and the means to earn a livelihood through various trades, such as farming, sewing, or soap making. - Further, we assist budding entrepreneurs with micro-credits, identify and employ community leaders, and engage both community members and refugees in our projects, fostering self-sufficiency and continuity. - Our efforts extend to building and maintaining orphanages for children who have lost their parents, as well as operating healthcare clinics that offer essential services such as primary care, dental care, preventive medicine, and vaccinations. Throughout our journey, we've demonstrated a commitment to sustainability, with tangible impacts on the lives of those facing extreme hardship. In Brazil, our endeavors range from supporting children with microcephaly to providing shelter for refugees from Venezuela and supplying medical aid to those afflicted with rare conditions like epidermolysis bullosa. Moreover, FWB collaborates with esteemed global organizations including the United Nations, the United Nations Refugee Agency, UNICEF, and UNESCO, amplifying our collective efforts towards positive change on a larger scale.
