Mission Statement

One Community promotes the equitable flow of resources and opportunities in Fort Greene/Clinton Hill, Brooklyn. It arose from the fact that people in and near our public housing are separated from vast resources as though by a wall. Since 2018, we have worked with partners to bridge resources and needs and help our neighbors dismantle the wall of structural inequality. Our programs help people immediately change their lives. We deliver food, jobs, education, skills, health, new social networks, and spiritual support. We provide the highest quality services we can and our clientele and those they touch experience widened horizons, greater well-being, rising expectations and empowerment.
