Mission Statement

Central Texas Allied Health Institute exists to create opportunities where vulnerable communities have access to a world class quality education in the areas of allied health at an affordable price.

About This Cause

The Central Texas Allied Health Institute was the brainchild of its visionaries Dr. Jereka Thomas-Hockaday and Todd Hamilton. Both Dr. Thomas-Hockaday and Mr. Hamilton had successful medical careers in the areas of surgical technology and emergency room medicine. However, they felt a call on their lives to teach. They met in 2010, while working for- profit, proprietary career colleges in San Antonio, Texas. In 2015 the campus was closed, and both went back to their previous careers in health care. However, neither lost their passion for career education nor making a difference in the lives that need it most. Hence, they launched the Central Texas Allied Health Institute in Austin, Texas. The mission of the institute is to provide high quality post-secondary education in the fields of allied health to students living on the margins of our society. The individuals that are often overlooked, yet in the most need of affordable job skills training as an avenue to moving into the middle class.
