Our mission is to support makers of all backgrounds as they develop into self-reliant creators and active participants in the Maker Movement. We promise to be allies who break down historical and economic barriers so that innovators of color and other underrepresented groups are more recognized as an essential part of Austin’s creative community.
About This Cause
CO.LAB Community Makers wants to be allies who break down historical and economic barriers so that innovators of color and other underrepresented groups are more recognized as an essential part of Austin’s creative community. It’s time to level the playing field. Our donation-based and volunteer-driven studio provides our community makers with ongoing training & support, materials, and space. Our creative space offers crafting materials, event hosting, coworking space, camps, community outreach, and training in fabrication tools.
