Mission Statement
AC Fairhill is a philanthropic youth organization based in North Philadelphia, whose mission is to provide programming driven through youth fitness and development for low-income children, with its initial programming being youth soccer. AC Fairhill is supported by private donors and partnering organizations, such as Common Ground Management, Inc., The Silverback Educational Foundation for the Arts, Dance and Athletics Inc., in order to provide improved access to education, wellness, fitness and culture.
About This Cause
The Athletic Club of Fairhill is 501(c)(3) tax-exempt organization that works in the Fairhill section of North Philadelphia, the lowest-income neighborhood in Philadelphia, to provide healthy activity and educational opportunities for families here. Through its first program, soccer, it has been able to provide year-round service to children ages 6-14 since 2015. Upcoming, it's planning to reopen a recreation center, which has been closed since 2016, in 2022, and to open reopen a pre-K to fifth elementary school, which has been closed since 2014, in 2023.
